Malaysia Digital Arrival Card

Beginning on December 1st, there is a new requirement for all foreigners entering Malaysia.

The Immigration Department of Malaysia has announced that before their arrival, foreign travellers must complete and submit the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) online form within three days.

This digitalization initiative aims to enhance and modernize the immigration services provided by the country. It aligns with Malaysia’s visa liberalization plan, which aims to attract more foreign tourists.

To gain entry into Malaysia, travellers must present a valid passport along with the completed MDAC at all immigration counters and entry points.

There are a few exceptions to this requirement. If you are a permanent resident (PR) in Malaysia, hold a Malaysia Automated Clearance System (MACS) long-term pass, or are transiting through Singapore, you do not need to fill out the MDAC.

Please ensure to comply with this new requirement to ensure a smooth entry into Malaysia and to avoid any potential complications during your travel.
